Kauai Birthday

Elizabeth and I were in Kauai for her birthday. Most of Kauai was empty (of people) and not as lush. Spent some time researching the island online, got fascinated at images of two magnificent towers on the island, one ultra-futuristic and one build originally by an ancient society. The later was impossibly tall, not to say the modern one wasn't, but for an ancient ruin reclaimed... It has a central cylindrical column with a very massive, pertruding and narrow in height oval chamber extending off it and spiraling up. By the time we got to where I had stayed previously on island it was already 5 and we were expecting her party goers and couldn't explore like we had hoped to. We went to go outside and walked out past this indoor pool connected to the ocean. We heard amazing noises coming from the pool including some whale song and noticing these small 20 feet long whale shapes in the water I grab Elizabeth and we watch them swim back and forth until as we're walking out one pops out on the beach like bank (minus sand) shore of he pool. It generally has the shape of a small whale but has a number of large humps on it's forward top and more surprisingly an elephant trunk which extends from below it's mouth! Its base colors are grey and blue grey but it is covered with a large, splotchy patch of rust colored orange. It seems curious and sort of follows us while remaining on the water's edge. While cute it is intimidating due to its sheer size and interest in approaching us. We kind of speed walk to the door at one end of the pool when we realize we had before left our stuff right on the edge of the pool not expecting these whales and our jackets had been dragged in a bit and this one following us was eyeing our bags. So Elizabeth says she'll distract it and starts says saying "Hey, come here, come here" and running towards the other end while I go to get our stuff to safety

Unknown

Walking back over gigantic bridge littered with tons of college students. One behind accidentally kicks my old white one piece headphone over a banister we have to walk around
